Characteristics of COC Cycloolefin Copolymer
(1) It is a transparent copolymer with excellent optical properties;
(2) high transparency, light transmittance of 91%;
(3) Excellent optical properties, low birefringence, high Abbe number;
(4) The density is small, which is about 10% lower than PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) and PC (polycarbonate), which is conducive to the lightweight of products;
(5) The saturated water absorption rate is small, and the water absorption rate of COC is much lower than that of PMMA, which will not cause the physical property to decrease due to water absorption, and almost no water absorption;
(6) Because it contains monomers with small polarity and anisotropy, it is an amorphous transparent material with small birefringence;
(7) the water vapor air tightness is good, the memory is easy to save;
(8) easy injection molding;
(9) Low melting residue;
(10) Can be applied to various sterilization methods, ultraviolet rays, r rays, EOG;
(11) high rigidity, high strength;
(12) is a high heat-resistant transparent resin glass temperature of 70 to 190 degrees C, glass temperature is amorphous polymer heat resistance index;
(13) Excellent mechanical properties, higher tensile strength and elastic modulus than PC;
(14) Good scratch resistance, COC pencil hardness is similar to PMMA, and scratch resistance is an important performance index of optical materials.
