Liaoning Luhua: Cyclic Olefin Copolymer Plant Successfully Put into Production at One Time

At the end of January 2024, all employees of Liaoning Luhua Hongjin New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Liaoning Luhua") after more than a month of trial production, the cycloolefin copolymer device was successfully put into production at one time and produced qualified products. The performance of the product exceeded expectations, achieving an important breakthrough in the research and development of new petrochemical materials in Liaoning Luhua. The complete success of this industrialization has broken through the bottleneck of the industrialization of "stuck neck" materials, improved my country's production technology level in the field of cycloolefin copolymers, and laid a solid foundation for the further development of new petrochemical polymer materials in Liaoning Luhua.
Cyclic olefin copolymer is a non-crystalline transparent polymer with cyclic olefin structure formed by copolymerization of olefin and cyclic olefin or monopolymerization of cyclic olefin. It is a new type of thermoplastic engineering plastic. It has the advantages of high transparency, high purity, high water and oxygen barrier property, high heat resistance, high strength, low density, excellent extrusion molding and thermoformability, and is suitable for various sterilization methods such as ultraviolet light and high temperature, it can be widely used in medical, optical, packaging and other fields, such as optical lenses, automotive headlights, pre-filled syringes, etc.
The product standard foreign similar products, according to the application field developed 5 different grades, in the glass transition temperature, molecular weight and distribution, density, melt mass flow rate, light transmittance and water absorption rate and other technical indicators have basically reached the level of foreign similar products.
Liaoning Luhua is located in Liaoning Panjin Fine Chemical Industry Park and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zibo Luhua Hongjin New Materials Group Co., Ltd. Relying on the technical support of Zibo Luhua Hongjin and the advantages of the carbon five industrial chain, Liaoning Luhua attaches great importance to technological innovation and is committed to the research and development and production of new petrochemical materials. Liaoning Luhua Phase I Project has a cyclic olefin copolymer capacity of 1,000 tons/year. After the completion of the first phase of the demonstration project, the second phase is planned to build a 10000 tons/year cycloolefin copolymer production plant.
